History of Kompia

Kompia was originally invented by Foochow General Chee Sheek Kuong back in the Ming Dynasty. During war, the warrior can't bring a lot of food because they bring too many thing such as weapon. So that the General Chee Sheek Kuong invented the kompia because the hole in the center is for the convenience of running a string through so the warrior can hang a roll of kompia's on their neck. Because the kompia is easily to grab, the soldier hang the kompia around their neck with string through the kompia hole so that they can easily grab the kompia and eat during hungry or to refill energy after war. But now, kompia was serve for the purpose so that the traditional food will not be forgotten and at the same time everyone can enjoy the taste of the traditional food.
